The King's Speech July 2024and Business Rates

Despite some 40 planned reforms in the King’s speech there was no mention of Business Rates.The Labour Government promised to raise revenue from Business Rates in a fair way to bring a level playing field between the High Street and the online giants. However, we still have no idea what this may entail.

We will have to wait for the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement and see if there will be any changes in the Business Rates system.
